Training Session - 30th March 2014
Despite the short notice, yet another good turnout of players for another indoor training session. Regardless of the clocks changing and it being Mother's Day, it was great to see so many faces come out for a Sunday morning workout. Players enjoyed Infield training, Batting Practice, Bunting drills and well as some fine tuning on the correct swing.
With the lighter evenings upon us, the team will be looking to add outdoor mid-week training in the near future - Watch this space for more details
Training Session - 16th March 2014
Training goes from strength to strength. A great turnout of new and existing players enjoyed a productive morning at the Indoor Cricket Centre. Players spent 2 hours engaging in a variety of drills, from learning the basics to running fielding exercises, as well as some batting practice.
Due the positive feedback from the event, we are currently trying to organise another session prior to heading outdoors to train and before the regular season begins.
Watch this space for details and if you weren't able to come last time, then make sure you don't miss the next one - we'd love to see you there!

Sheffield Bladerunners 2014 AGM
The Sheffield Bladerunners held its Annual General Meeting in the city centre at the Old Queen's Head pub on Saturday 11th Jan. The Old Queen's head is Sheffield's oldest domestic building and a great symbol of the history of the city, which the Bladerunners are proud to recognize by choosing this venue.
The following elections of posts for the upcoming season were voted upon:
Team manager – Nick Wills
Coach – Yovanny Lopez ( assisted by Nick Wills and Rich Green)
Captain – Rich Green (vice captains – Jon Gardner & Jim Ellis)
Treasurer – Jon Gardner
Media Officer – Matt Risby
Social Events Officer – James Curry
Once the formal proceedings of the AGM had concluded we moved on to taste some fantastic food at local Mexican food outlet - The Street Food Chef - where the busy kitchen team even took time out to have pictures taken with the Bladerunners members. Finally the team enjoyed some drinks and shot some pool at The Common Room to blow off some steam after a very productive evening. It was a great turn out and everyone who came had a great time. More social events are planned for the future so keep in touch for details.

Our home field is in the north of Sheffield, situated only 5 minutes off the M1, making commuting easy for people not located in Sheffield itself. Public transport also runs past the main entrance of our ground, directly from Sheffield city centre.
We are currently in the early stages of developing our diamond, having spent the previous decade at a successfully developed field complete with cut outs and permanent pitching mound. So an exciting future lays ahead in the legacy of Sheffield baseball.
