9 games into the revised 2020 season and all 3 Bladerunners team are firing on both sides of the game.
We've had shoot outs, pitching duels, wet games, sunny games, a weekly 'skills competition' and visits to the beer garden at the end of the day. Week 3 saw everybody split with a win a piece, showing on any given Sunday there is strength in every squad. The early game saw Team I start as they left off in Week 2, scoring runs, and jumped out to a 5-0 lead, which led to a 8-4 win by the end, to roll onto 5-0. Next up game 2, did somebody order a pitching duel? when one arrived and the streak was over, as Team II took a great close fought battle 3-1, behind the pitching of Jonny Allison. The final game had Team II rolling in on the back of a win, but they got a rude awakening and lit up for 13 runs, by a rested Team III. Rewind to a wet Week 2 and Team I squeezed a surprise win in their first game, before a more comfortable win in their second game over Team II, In the other clash for the up for grabs win, it was Team II that came away with their first win over Team III.

On Sunday August 9th 2020, the Sheffield Bladerunners played is first ever games, in an all Bladerunners League.
All three teams did battle over a triple header to see which team would take an early lead in the standings. Across the day, over 35 players played a role in the event, all run under clearly defined rules and regs to ensure the safest possible way of running such an event, in these unprecedented times. By the end of the day, it was the team I squad that came away with the spoils, taking 2 wins, while team III took the other win, leaving team II to start their winning campaign in week 2. Plenty of rust was blown off quite a few players, but the team I bats came out firing and sealed a historic day for the club. Looking forward, we have 5 more weeks of triple headers to enjoy and we'll hopefully be keeping you up to date with all the action on here, via twitter, facebook, instagram and youtube.
