Who is it for?

We actively encourage experienced players, as well as local people new to the game, to join us, give it a shot and learn at a level that suits you.

Anyone 14 or older can attend our training sessions. There is no upper age limit, nor are there any restrictions on physical fitness or experience. We encourage all players to push themselves at a level that they are comfortable playing at.

We are also proud to be a club with a long history of being co-ed and having females play on our rosters and setting the trend for others to follow. Besides being co-ed we also welcome players from national and international backgrounds. We do not discriminate against physical disability or social background. The Bladerunners really is a club for anyone with a love of the game.

Training

We offer the perfect platform to get started in playing the sport, with entry level training sessions, held weekly, usually a Thursday evening, at Forge Valley Community School and with the opportunity to step up and join one of our three teams at a point when you are ready. Training is optional and should you need to skip a week or two, it's not a problem, you just pick up where you left off and learn at your own pace.

Games

Our team games are played on Sundays and rosters for teams are set preseason, while new additions are added to the squads throughout the year. While player commitment to the club and actively playing is the ideal scenario, we as an organisation, understand individuals have other commitments, be it work, family, events, etc. Therefore, players contribute a nominal amount per season in club fees and for that can attend all, or as few games as they wish. All members understand everyone is treated equal and playing time is shared fairly, while common sense is applied by coaches and managers re. lineups and playing time.

I wanna join the Bladerunners!

If you want to join us or just give baseball a try, get in touch.
While many members came to the Bladerunners because of an interest in the sport of baseball, they have since seen it go much further than just baseball. Many friendships have been formed, many social events have happened as a group of friends. Common links and connections have brought people together in other areas of their lives and family and friends of members have extended the social circle.

So, if you are looking for just baseball, we've got that. If you are looking for fun, friendship and a great social side, we've got that too.
