......And History Is Made

On Sunday August 9th 2020, the Sheffield Bladerunners played is first ever games, in an all Bladerunners League. 

All three teams did battle over a triple header to see which team would take an early lead in the standings.  

Across the day, over 35 players played a role in the event, all run under clearly defined rules and regs to ensure the safest possible way of running such an event, in these unprecedented times.   

By the end of the day, it was the team I squad that came away with the spoils, taking 2 wins, while team III took the other win, leaving team II to start their winning campaign in week 2. 

Plenty of rust was blown off quite a few players, but the team I bats came out firing and sealed a historic day for the club. 

Looking forward, we have 5 more weeks of triple headers to enjoy and we'll hopefully be keeping you up to date with all the action on here, via twitter, facebook, instagram and youtube. Spectators are welcome but are advised to contact us first, so we can update you on do's and dont's etc - with the revised set up.
